Despite Covid, Bat Mitzvah Club girls celebrate the graduation

Due to covid, the BMC had to skip a year, but as soon as it was possible, the program took off in conjunction with the BMC in Milan.

The landmark event is the graduation, where the families gather together to celebrate the milestone.

Usually, we celebrate in Chabad, but since distances were needed, the event took place at the Scout Center.

During the event each girl presented a Jewish idea or a person, then mothers and daughters lit a candle each, the fathers blessed their daughters and finally, each girl received a certificate.

Unusual for similar events, the refreshment was prepared to go with hopes that next year the group will celebrate with no restrictions.

Bat Mitzvah girls prepare Challah, visit Mikvah with mothers

The Bat Mitzvah Club in Rome offers the girls a hands-on experience, one of the most unforgettable meetings is the one with the mothers.

With covid almost behind us, the mother-daughter teams, prepared Challot, one of the commandments of the Jewish woman.

They then gathered outside to hear a lesson on the topic by Mrs. Chana Hazan.

The conclusion was a visit to the newly built Mikvah in Piazza Bologna.
