A fire broke out in the Chabad Piazza Bologna center in Rome and filled the whole building with thick black smoke. The center is unusable.
It was an electrical fire. The exact cause is still being verified.
The center was already too small for what happens inside it: the Shabbat meals, the students, the classes, the children’s programmes and the guests who arrive from all over the world. The fire has made the decision for us, and we are now looking for a larger home.
